What is DTF Printing?

Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing is one of the most versatile and innovative methods of decorating garments. Unlike traditional printing techniques, your design is first printed onto a specialist transfer film before being permanently applied to the fabric using heat and pressure.

This process creates sharp detail, bold colours, and a soft, long-lasting finish that works beautifully on cotton, polyester, blends, and many other fabrics.

How Does DTF Printing Work?

Our process is designed to deliver professional, long-lasting results every time.

Step 1: Printing the Design
Your artwork is printed onto premium transfer film using advanced DTF printers. A white ink base is applied first, followed by the full-colour design, ensuring exceptional colour accuracy, brightness, and detail.

Step 2: Applying the Adhesive
A fine layer of specialist hot-melt adhesive powder is evenly applied to the printed design. This adhesive is what allows the transfer to bond permanently with the garment.

Step 3: Curing the Transfer
The adhesive powder is carefully cured to prepare the transfer for application, creating a durable print that stands up to repeated washing and everyday wear.

Step 4: Heat Press Application
The finished transfer is heat pressed directly onto your chosen garment using professional equipment. The combination of heat and pressure permanently fuses the design to the fabric.

Step 5: The Finished Product
After cooling, the transfer film is peeled away to reveal a vibrant, crisp, and highly durable print with a smooth finish that's made to last.
